Beans! Cat Cafe

🐾 INFORMATION

Beans! is a combination cat cafe and adoption shelter featuring all the best beans around: toebeans, coffee beans, cocoa beans, and beanbag chairs. Cafe guests pay at the door for table time rented in half-hour increments, and upon admission are treated to the relaxing cafe atmosphere, a complimentary drink of their choice, and plenty of exposure to all the furry friends that Beans! has to offer. Additional drinks can be purchased for a small additional fee.

Additionally, every cat at Beans! is adoptable pending a standard screening process to ensure that the cats are bound for good and loving homes. Strays found around Lunatia can also be brought here and dropped off to await their own forever homes.

🐾 ADOPTIONS

⬥ A dossier of the NPC cats that can be found within Beans! is available on its Prismagram post! These cats are for cafe threads only and are not adoptable.

⬥ Adoptions of other cats not listed on the Prismagram post can be handwaved, but please do drop me a line and let me know if you're going to assume that your character picked one up! I'd love the extra CR from knowing that Reimi helped one of her cats find a new home.

⬥ Stray cats found around Lunatia can be brought to Beans! and dropped off as part of its animal shelter function! Again, this can be handwaved, but I'd love to know about it if your character is being a good Samaritan and bringing one by.

⬥ Parties interested in adopting one of the cats will be subjected to a screening process that may or may not involve Rohan (penpoint) using his Stand on you. This is ultimately harmless and you probably won't even remember it; they're just trying to make sure you're not a psychopath who's going to hurt the cat they're giving you.

Cat Particulars: A male Egyptian mau (or whatever those might be called in a world where there's no Egypt) who looks like this and whom Titus intends to name "Phix" (but maybe he has some temporary different name at the cafe, idk). He pretends to be aloof but actually wants to be fawned on at all times, and he likes to wrap his front legs around something (plushies, other cats, human arms) when he sleeps.
Handwaved CR?: Yes please! (Titus has probably been spending a lot of time at Beans! playing with this cat as well as all the others while cycling through every menu item at least twice, sooo.)

Cat Particulars: A Bengal/Siamese mix who is LOUD. Looks like a little snow leopard and likes to feel tall. Generally an asshole but he'll get attached to a choice amount of people. His name was probably something like Lucifur or whatever, but once he ends up in the Okita-Zeppeli apartment, Sougo will call him "Caesar" and Caesar will call him "Sougo".
Handwaved CR?: I'd be down! Sougo likely went to the cafe and tried to go for a mischievous, obnoxious cat--because he wanted to give the cat to Hijikata as a prank. Sougo will pass Rohan's test (somehow?) since he doesn't hurt cats (although he likes to tease them). But the cat will end up in their apartment anyways and live his best life tearing up the couch and climbing Caesar like a tree.

I LOVE IT WHEN PEOPLE HEADCANON ASSHOLE CATS reimi is so relieved to see them go and she tries to pretend like it's because they found a forever home but deep down it's a little bit "good that monster's not my problem anymore"

Also don't even worry about the Rohan thing, that's really just there OOCly to be like "hey you'll probably meet Rohan in the process of this" and also "it'd be sort of OOC for Rohan if he didn't at least consider doing this" but it should never be seen as a barrier to someone getting to have their cat in an OOC sense. :|b

These two idiots will gladly (???) take Lucifur Sougo Caesar off her hands. Caesar's suffering through this cat's antics for you, Reimi!!!

I was a bit unsure because well, Sougo is an absolute nightmare himself (and OOC ease aside, I wouldn't blame anyone if it was IC for their character to be worried) but I went and got it checked with KJ anyways. o/
