[The truth of the matter is, Reimi'd had her trepidations in the years down the road, when it had started sounding like Abbacchio might be thinking about getting married again. Of course he deserves to have someone to love, and of course she only wants the best for him. It's just that he's been heartbroken so many times that she's afraid for him, a little bit, when things start getting serious and that hope starts rekindling.

But it turns out that he and Caesar are wonderful together, and their children are darling, and these days her surrogate older brother grins and laughs and gets up to mischief with a lightheartedness that she cherishes every time she sees it, and its starting to make her think that yeah, sometimes things really do work out.

Plus, she loves the kids. She's always been a babysitter first and foremost, even now that she's tried her hand at being an entrepreneur before eventually moving into a career in music. It makes her a little melancholy, still, whenever Caesar or Abbacchio drop them off — making her think, even after all these years, of Kishibe-san dropping Rohan off to stay a while with her, too.

But that's behind her now. The visit goes off without a hitch, and Caesar returns, and she relinquishes her two charges to his smothering care and enjoys a breath of fresh air before they swarm back over her again.]

Aw, don't make it sound like such a chore, Caesar! You know it's no trouble at all. We always have a great time, don't we, kids?

[The children yell in unison as they scramble by her feet unwilling to give up their Auntie time so soon. Caesar could've stayed gone a whole week for all they cared-this is their mini-vacation and it's not like they're ever concerned their fathers won't return, given Caesar's melodramatic exits. He made sure to instill that vital thought in them from a young age.

They want to spend another night and he waves a dismissive hand. Of course they would take this opportunity to look up at Caesar, doe-eyed and pleading, trying to play him and-

He's offended that it almost works. Their innocent requests are a weakness he's unable to fight against on the best days. He drops two hands to either one of their cheeks and pinches.]

You don't need to cover for them. I know how they are. [There's another gentle pinch against their noses, and-] Don't be brats.

[There's only affection in his tone as he says that, pulling his hands back to tug the aforementioned gift out of the bag looped around his wrist. Whenever she opens it, she'll find it's some dank chocolate!!! Hell yeah.]

If they're brats, it's because they take after their dads.

[Fun fact: those kids are going to learn all their sickest burns from Aunt Lina too, boy howdy. She's visibly delighted by the gift, though, and though she'll be polite and save it to be opened later, Caesar will definitely be getting a flurry of appreciative texts once she does.

For now, though, she motions at him, determined to usher him into a nice sitting room just off the entrance of the house she and Rohan share, flashing a surreptitious wink at Ragù and Lasagna as she does. She's in your corner, kiddos, just watch her distract your dad awhile longer.]

Come on, come sit down! It feels like it's been a while since we really had the chance to sit and catch up. I've been so tied up with rehearsal lately, and Rohan's launching another series...haha, we really don't get out much lately, you know?

I think their Aunt is the biggest offender.

[Ole Zeppeli isn't the brightest tool in the shed, but he can tell there's something's happening here. The children get suspiciously quiet as Reimi takes over the conversation and while she may not be his sister, he finds it hard to deny her much. All she wants is some conversation. That's an easy request to oblige. It's true they haven't spoken one on one in awhile-schedules don't mesh more often than not

Before he knows it, he's comfortably seated in a chair instead of walking home in the summer heat with his two kids. It's better to wait anyway. Evening will make it easier on them.

Rohan's up to something, it sounds like, but Caesar's less interested in that aggravating man and his work and more engrossed by whatever Reimi's been up to.

The children vanish from his line of vision and Caesar cranes his neck, looking behind the chair's back to ensure they're in the area still. They're quietly messing with whatever activity they had been up to before Caesar ruined their playtime, so-

He leans back in his chair, crossing on leg over the other.]

When is your next concert? We'll be sure to get front row seats to it.

[She sighs deeply, clearly feigning a long-suffering attitude behind a duck of her chin to try to hide the pleased smile threatening to creep across her lips.]

Next week. It's going to be a little more...contemporary, this time. Pushing the envelope, you know? I had to fight my maestro every step of the way, he's such a traditionalist, but I finally won out in the end. I think you'll like the performance a lot.

[She grins.]

I can save you a couple! How many, just two for you and Niichan, or the kids, too? It's a late concert, they'll be out way past their bedtimes.

They can be out late this once. It will be good for them to get some exposure to crowds.

[Besides, he can't exactly ask Reimi to babysit if she's the one holding the concert. There's no one else he trusts with his children and he isn't inclined to start holding backup babysitter tryouts anytime soon.]

They've never seen you on the stage before. I'm sure you'll captivate them the whole night.
