[ Oh. Oh. It takes him a moment because that wasn't exactly his intention but even then, he doesn't pull away as quickly as his brain tells him he should. He just lets his lips linger, hand shifting from her chin to her cheek for only a moment before he pulls away. He lets his hand remain there while he works to quickly try to remain any cool he potentially had to begin with here.

[The funny part is, she was actually fine right up until he kissed her forehead, and somehow that's what gets her to blush as red as a sunset, thrown for a loop by his unexpected tenderness. He's so sweet with her, and maybe a lot of it is Cordis, but it's definitely not the actions of someone who's perceiving them as babysitter and small child.]
